Greetings, everyone!
Thank you to everyone who has been taking the time to submit bugs in-game when you see issues. You’ve all been extremely helpful, and we want to encourage you to continue to submit bugs (or subscribe to current open issue). As always, the more details you can provide, the quicker we can nail down exactly what the trouble is. We wanted to take a minute to address some of the top in-game bugs we’ve seen reported so far. Keep in mind, this is just a small snapshot of the current issues we’re tracking, but we thought we could give you a bit of an update on how things are progressing so far.
- Huge Champions – As some of you have noticed, using certain “growth” items make you a tiny bit larger than expected. We’re working on nailing down the exact science behind the unusual growth; however, you’ve probably realized it’s not working as intended. We’ll update more on this when we have more information.
- “The Perfect Prey” and “Hunters Hunting” and “Perks for a Job Well Done”– These missions had a bug that was preventing players from completing the mission. We’ve fixed it, and with the new patch going live tonight during the regular maintenance, you should be good to go.
- Teleport receives a cooldown – It’s possible we haven’t been clear about how Teleport works. Outside of combat, Teleport can be used an infinite number of times in a row to get you where you’re going. However, once you’re in combat and you try to escape, you can only use Teleport once, and then it will have a 15 second cooldown after that.
- Ice Zombies aren’t dying – We’ve had a ton of reports on this, however we’re still having trouble reproducing the issue on our end. If you’re still seeing this in Canada, please make sure you’re adding as much detail as possible in your bug reports. What powers are you using? What level are you? What level are they? Where are you? There’s no such thing as too much information when it comes to reporting bugs.
- Critter Aggro – Some critters are currently having trouble resetting their “aggro” after a player flees from them. This affects you, because the creature is no longer attackable since their “aggro” reset improperly. We’re working on solving this as quickly as possible. If you find any more unattackable critters, feel free to /bug them in-game so that we can find their position.
- 64-bit sound issues – Some users that have Windows XP 64-bit are hearing no sound in the game. This is a bug with Realtek’s audio drivers that we cannot fix until they release updated drivers. We apologize for this inconvenience.
Thank you all again for your vigilance in helping us hunt down those pesky bugs before launch. We hope you’re enjoying Open Beta, and we’ll see the rest of you in the game soon!
