How to create your own Champions Online MashON!

Have a great story to tell? It couldn't be easier with Champions Online's very own MashON platform. In this simple tutorial, we will cover how to get started. We will run through all the basics, including how to get some material for your MashUp graphics in-game and some of the possibilities, but remember there are even more options to explore beyond this simple tutorial!

Step One: Connect to MashON and Accept The Terms of Service and Usage Guidelines

Step Two: Grab materials from Champions Online

If you're going to tell a story, you need pictures. The cool thing is, once you're logged into your character in Champions Online, you're already connected to your own MashON account! The basic command in Champions Online for taking Mashon screenshots is /social_screenshot.

You probably want to bind this to a key for a quick'n'easy way to take many screenshots by typing bind [key] social_screenshot in the input field. Replace [key] with the key of your choice - the screenshot uses "~" as an example.

Step Three: Put together your Mashup at MashON's website app

Take a look at MashON's interface. It's very easy to use as long as you keep a few areas in mind:

1. Library: This is where you can select what type of material you want to put in your canvas.
2. Assets: Whatever you choose from the library, this is where you will see them displayed. You can then drag/drop your selections into your canvas and arrange them.
3. Canvas: This is your primary work area.
4. The Tools Menu: Want to scale your text? Move something up or down a layer? click on Tools, and then click the object you want to modify. All the options available to you will apear in the toolbox.
5. File: Remember to save your MashON often by clicking File. You can also resume work on an existing MashUp or save your current MashUp progress.
6. Share and Print: You can share your creations with other people by clicking "Share" and selecting your preferred method. You can also choose to print it out to show your friends!
