Attacked and knocked senseless while investigating reports of vehicles dumping something into a county river, Sheriff Zeb Gray awoke to find himself prisoner in a secret research facility. He suffered in that place for eight agonizing months while his captors slowly dissected his body, removed and replaced his limbs and organs, then tearing him apart to begin again.
